Construction of the Bahamas resort centre to start next year (Yahoo!)

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) - four companies in the Bahamas have signed a preliminary contract for the construction of mega resort impasse funded largely by China $ 15 million.

Contracts should create 450 new jobs, although they are still subject to approval by the Government.

In all, developer Baha Mar Resorts Ltd. plans to grant for $ 60 million in working with local businesses.

Baha Mar, senior vice President Robert Sands said Tuesday that revolutionary is expected to begin in January.

A Chinese Bank organized a 2.5 billion financing package earlier this year and Beijing greenlighted the project in July.

Nearly 8,000 Chinese workers should arrive at the end of next year.

The project was announced in 2008 but blocked by the global economic crisis.
